January 8, 2008 – 6:46 am

Package delivery company United Parcel Service Inc. said Monday it will launch an expanded and simplified air freight shipping system this week. The new service includes an international express service called UPS Express Freight, which the company said will triple its express routes. The service will offer overnight to three-day delivery. For less time-sensitive shipments, the company will launch UPS Air Freight Direct _ a one- to three-day service, and UPS Air Freight Consolidated _ a three- to five-day service. Both “airport to airport” services are available worldwide. Freight shipments may move on either UPS or third-party aircraft.
