UPS Driver Witnesses Animal Cruelty Incident, Calls Police

December 20, 2007 – 9:17 pm

UPS driver Glen Delong called the police as two kids threw a Pit Bull into a canal and hit it with a stick, according to news reports. The driver phoned the tip in after seeing the incident while working his route. Jarrius Flournah, 18, and Reginald Robinson, 19, are charged with animal abuse and trespassing. Police said Flournah picked the dog up by its collar and dangled it in the air for about 60 seconds before throwing it back in the water. Robinson, the owner of the dog, was charged because police said he allowed the abuse and did nothing to come to the dog’s aid.
